Juntei is a savings app that runs on your device. We have no server, no sign-up and no login. The text below is short because the app collects almost nothing — and it holds for all four languages the app is published in (the translations are at the end).
Everything you type into Juntei is written to a local database, inside the app's private area:
None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. There is no account, no automatic sync, no cloud of ours, no remote backup. If you uninstall the app, that data goes with it.
If you pick a photo for a profile, it is shrunk on your device and stored in the same local database as everything else. It is not sent to us or to anyone, it does not go to any cloud, and it is not used to identify you.
To pick it, the app asks for access to your photos or your camera. That access is only for this: Juntei reads the image you picked, shrinks it and stores it. It does not scan your camera roll, does not read any other image, and does not write anything back to your gallery. You can refuse — the app keeps working in full, showing the first letter of the name instead of a photo. And you can remove the photo at any time, in Profiles.
1. Buying Juntei Plus. Plus is a one-time purchase, made through the store — App Store or Google Play. The store does the billing; we never see your card. To know whether the purchase is valid on this device we use RevenueCat, which receives from the store the purchase history for this app (which product, when, whether it is still valid) tied to an anonymous identifier generated on the device. That identifier carries neither your name nor your email, and is not used to track you across other apps or sites. If you never buy, this path is never taken.
2. The daily reminder. The reminder is an alarm scheduled on the device itself by the operating system. It does not go through any notification server of ours, and the content of the reminder never leaves the device.
3. Ads (free plan only). The free plan shows a banner at the bottom, served by Google AdMob. To deliver the ad, count the impression and prevent fraud, Google's SDK receives technical data from the device: advertising identifier, IP address (which gives a rough location), model and system, and how the ad was seen or tapped. We ask for non-personalised ads only: Google does not build a profile of you to choose what to show. In Europe the app asks for your consent first, and you change that choice in Settings. No savings data — goal, amounts, profiles — goes to Google: the ad does not know how much you have saved. People with Plus see no ads and the SDK asks for none.
Juntei can generate a file with your data for you to keep or to take to another device. That file is created when you ask for it and goes wherever you choose (email, WhatsApp, Drive, memory card). From the moment it leaves the app, looking after it is up to you and to the service you picked — their policy applies from then on, not ours.
Profile photos travel inside that file. That is what makes your table look the same on a new phone. Worth remembering before you send the file to someone else — especially if one of the profiles belongs to a child.
Juntei was also built for people who want to create a profile for a child. That profile is just a name and a table inside your device: we collect no data about any child. The app is used by the adult who owns the device, and the ads are limited to the general (G) rating.
The GDPR and the CCPA give you the right to see what is held about you, correct it, take it with you and have it deleted. In Juntei that is immediate and does not depend on us:
There is no request to file with us, because we are not the ones holding it. For the purchase history that sits with RevenueCat and for Google's ad data, the request goes to them, under their policies.
If the app ever starts collecting something — and there is no plan for that today — this page changes its date and the app tells you beforehand. A privacy policy that changes in silence is worth nothing.
